Now it looks like Christmas at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach.
On Sunday night at the Gifts of Light event, about 100 trees were lit up for the first time. Marg Rempel who is part of the Centres of Excellence fundraising committee says this event brought in around $50,000.00 for their new chemo-obstetrics project. She says they had a bit of a different focus this year to the celebration. Rempel explains they wanted to applaud the generosity of the community and honour the spirit of all the patients who face life and death situations.
