Some areas of the Whiteshell received a lot more rain yesterday.

2022 has already been a trying time for many cottage owners dealing with high water and road closures. And then on Tuesday, some areas received more than 100 millimetres of rain, as reported by Manitoba Parks.

Parks staff are out assessing the damage, but Manitoba Parks asks that if cottagers encounter road washouts or other damage on cottage block roads to call their local District Offices, Falcon Lake at 204-349-2201 or Rennie at 204-369-3153.

According to Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure, PR 312 is closed due to a culvert washout and the PR 301 underpass leading to Highway 1 is closed due to flood water.
