The Steinbach Fire Department was called to the Steinbach Airport at around 1:30 Saturday afternoon when some loose tin on a hanger came in contact with a hydro line.

Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Mike Penner says a piece of tin got blown loose from the roof and bent over touching the power line. He notes this caused arcing between the line and the building.

"We pulled the piece of tin down and we are going to wait for Hydro to come down and disconnect the wire so we don't have to worry about any more arcing. There has been some arcing around where the meter goes into the building as well but we have inspected that to make sure there was no fire in the wall."

Penner says there was some burnt spots on the building but no fire.
