A number of local dance students had an opportunity to perform in front of a packed Bell MTS Place on Tuesday for WE Day.

WE Day Manitoba is a huge gathering of students from across the province focused on changing the world through social justice.

Bretton Selent is one of the owners and instructors at Boss Dance Academy in Steinbach. He says they were asked to perform at WE Day last minute.

"We got a call last Friday from the organizers of WE Day Manitoba to come in and help open the show. So combined with some of our senior students out here, we had about 10 of them, and our 25 person adult crew in Winnipeg and some of our Parkour buddies, we put together a huge opening number and got to perform at the Bell MTS Place."

Selent says as soon as they got the request, the call went out to the students and they cleared their schedules to make time for extra practice.

onal world, to work super hard for something, you go and perform and it seems like it was over so quick."
