There was a house fire Friday evening in Kleefeld on Bramblewood Street.

Hanover Fire Chief Paul Wiebe says they were initially called to a car fire which was inside the attached garage.

Upon arrival, the car fire quickly spread through the garage and to the house.

“The car is a total write-off and the house sustained extensive damage,” Wiebe says.

He notes the owners were home when the fire began and were able to safely evacuate.

“There were no injuries.”

Fire crews worked at the scene from 5:30pm until after 10pm.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner is investigating.
