The owners of Negash Coffee in Niverville had a friend, and Grey Cup Champion over for coffee on Saturday.

Winnipeg Blue Bomber Andrew Harris, still fresh off of winning his second championship, signed autographs and took photos with fans in attendance.

“It’s great to come to a small town and see that there are fans here that are passionate and excited,” said Harris about his reception, “and it’s just great to engage with different communities.”

Harris, who got his start in football in Steinbach, reminisces on his Eastman Raiders days, attributing them to what inspired his love for the game. “It’s amazing what this game does for you, not only from a sports level, but the networking, and the confidence it builds.” he offers. “It’s just great to see other kids enjoying it and having aspirations to do great things.”
