RCMP have made a second arrest in connection to a homicide this spring in Powerview.

During the evening of June 3rd, Powerview RCMP responded to a vehicle collision involving two pedestrians in Powerview-Pine Falls. The crash killed a 20-year-old male from the community and sent the other pedestrian, a 27-year-old female, also from the community, to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation determined that a 15-year-old female was driving, and intentionally struck the pedestrians. The teenager from Fort Alexander was arrested and charged with second degree murder and assault with a weapon.

Further investigation led officers to arrest a second individual. On Tuesday of this week, Powerview RCMP arrested and charged an 18-year-old female from Fort Alexander with second degree murder and assault with a weapon. She was remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled for today in Winnipeg.

RCMP Major Crime Services continue to investigate.
