Golfers and greens superintendents throughout our province will be happy to see the calendar flip from May to June and then hope for a change in the weather with summer just three weeks away.

Conditions during the first month of the 2022 golf season were less than ideal.

The start of the season was delayed because of excessive precipitation.

When courses, including Oakwood's 18-hole tree lined layout near Ste. Anne, did finally open there seemed to be more windy and rainy days than calm and warm days.

And now as May draws to a close, more rain.
