Emergency crews were called to the Days Inn parking lot in Steinbach late Thursday afternoon.

Steinbach RCMP report there was a small fire in the back of a work vehicle. Police say the employees had left a mini charcoal barbeque on the back of the truck. The individuals had placed some clothes on top without realizing the barbeque was still hot. Police say the clothes caught fire.

RCMP report the fire was quickly extinguished.
