A pilot project at Niverville Elementary School will be a test to see if kindergarten students can handle full days. Hanover Superintendent Ken Klassen says, starting in September, Niverville will have kindergarten full days and the students will come in every other day. This move was prompted by the amount of time kids are spending on the bus traveling to and from school. Klassen says this project will cut travel time in half. With full day kindergarten, there are concerns about how much schooling can the youngsters handle. But Klassen says many of the students would be going to daycare after a half day of school, meaning they would face another change. He believes full days, every second day is a good option and looks forward to getting feedback on this project.  Right now, Niverville is the only school in Hanover to offer full day kindergarten classes.
