During the afternoon torrential rain drenched Steinbach, at 6 p.m. 30 millimetres of rainfall was recorded. Environment Canada says rainfall is expected to continue throughout the night into Sunday morning with strong northerly winds gusting up to 90 kilometres per hour. They expect conditions to begin improving midday Sunday. Temperatures are expected to return to normal by Tuesday, with the long range forecast indicating above normal temperatures for mid to late next week.
