The Steinbach Arts Council Summer Arts Day Camps have come to an end for the summer.

Co-Director Melissa Guenther says the first week with the theme 'Around The World' was her favourite week because she got to learn about different places and there were also kids from other countries who were able to contribute. Guenther adds the kids had a lot of fun throughout the seven weeks.

"We tried to keep everything really busy and keep them on their toes the whole time and keep it entertaining and change it up so we didn't do games all day long," explains Guenther. "We did crafts and then games and then we would learn something and then we did music and drama. We tried to keep everything really diverse and not just focus on one specific thing."

Co-Director Eddie Conrad says his favourite week was 'Our Community' where they were able to tour different places in Steinbach such as Steinbach City Hall and the Steinbach Fire Hall. Conrad adds the time flew by.

"It was a lot of fun. We did lots of activities and I think the kids really enjoyed the time. Not just games and the sports side of things but we also did drama games like acting and art stuff like coloring and painting."

Guenther says she really enjoyed the summer and it didn't feel like she was doing a job. Conrad adds it was the best summer job he has ever had.
