Justina Hop will be honoured at the 26th annual volunteer awards on April 22nd. Hop, who has been volunteering in the Eastman region for over 25, has received the Lieutenant Governorr's Make A Difference Community Award. Her volunteer work includes farm safety, the local 4H program, the Woodmore Women's Institute and being a lifeline for neighbours who need assistance. Hop was nominated by the Woodmore Women's Institute. Hop says she always hopes she has made a difference in someone's life through volunteering. She notes this award gives her the feeling that she has accomplished what she has set out to do. Hop explains she believes if you do nothing then you have no right to complain. For this reason, she has spent much of her time volunteering.
