Charges have been laid in a fatal collision after a lengthy RCMP investigation.

On January 13, 2015 just before 7:30 a.m. Oakbank RCMP had responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 15, approximately five kilometres east of Dugald where an east bound pick-up truck and a west bound car were involved in a head on collision. The 33-year-old female driver of the car, from Anola, was pronounced dead at the scene and the 22-year-old male driver of the pick-up truck was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Now 23-years-old, Nelson Kyle South of Winnipeg has been charged with "Drive Carelessly Resulting In Death" in accordance to the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act. South is scheduled to appear in Beausejour Provincial Court on December 15.
