RCMP say there were non-life threatening injuries after a car left the highway Thursday night east of Ste. Agathe.

Shortly before 8:30 pm, St. Pierre RCMP were dispatched to a report of a collision on Provincial Road 305, approximately one kilometre east of PR 200.

When officers arrived on scene, vehicle tracks were observed travelling west onto the north shoulder and missing the guardrail on the bridge over the Rat River, before heading down towards the river and coming to a stop.

The 46-year-old female driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Police say there were no signs of impairment and no other vehicles involved.

Ritchot Fire Department responded to the call and brought out its Water Rescue Unit. PR 305 reopened shortly after 9:30 pm.
