After a few weeks of warm weather here in southeastern Manitoba, winter has returned. Rain turned to freezing rain and finally snow this Monday morning. Environment Canada is calling for 5 to 10 millimetres of snow and a northwest wind gusting up to 80 kilometres per hour. The forecast is also calling for temperatures to fall to minus 6 Monday afternoon. 

As of 1:30 a.m. Manitoba Infrastructure reports Highway 59 and Highway 52 west of Steinbach are listed as partly snow covered and highway 12, highway 1, and highway 52 east of Steinbach are listed as snow covered. For more information visit the Road Reports and Cancellations page.
