Highway 52 between Provincial Road 216 north and south was closed for about an hour and a half as emergency crews worked to clean up a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening.

Kleefeld District Fire Chief John Schroeder says an eastbound pickup truck, pulling a trailer, swerved out of the way of a westbound van that had wandered over past the centre line. He adds the van collided with the trailer and then proceeded to hit an eastbound SUV that was following the truck and trailer. Schroeder says when the van then hit the trailer, it caused it to dislodge from the truck.

The driver of the van was transported to the hospital for precautionary measures and the everyone else involved was not injured.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at 8:45pm and had that portion of Highway 52 shut down until about 10:30pm.
