One of the Steinbach voting stations in 2014.If the advance poll is any indication, there is huge interest in the municipal election in Steinbach.

Deb Rempel, the senior election official for Steinbach, says more than 600 people cast their ballots Thursday. She adds that is double the number who turned out for the advance poll in the previous election four years ago.

The election is set for next Wednesday, October 24th. All Steinbach polling stations will be set up at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre.
