The iconic Uncle Jake’s Family Restaurant is now permanently closed.

Uncle Jake's had been a mainstay in the Clearspring Shopping Centre for decades.

In a Facebook post Sunday afternoon, the Kehler family that owns Uncle Jake’s noted they’ve fought, cried, and laughed in the restaurant over the years and met many special people. They add they will cherish all of the amazing memories they have made at Uncle Jake’s Family Restaurant and they thank their loyal staff, family, friends, and the community for supporting them through it all.

The message to customers posted at the restaurant notes they will miss all of their amazing customer's friendly faces and wish they could have had a proper farewell.

We reached out to the Clearspring Centre and the Kehler family, and both decided not to make any further comment.
