Two men from Southern Health have tested positive for COVID-19.

On Tuesday afternoon, the province announced an additional two new cases of the virus in Manitoba. And, according to a provincial spokesperson, the two new cases are two men, in their 40’s from Southern Health.

As of Tuesday at 9:30 am, the total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive cases in Manitoba is 297. There are now 33 cases of COVID-19 in Southern Health. Of those, 28 are confirmed, while the other five are probable. The last three confirmed cases within our province are from the Southern Health region.

The data also shows:
• no individuals in hospital or intensive care;
• 12 active cases and 278 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19; and
• the number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at seven.

As of yesterday, an additional 406 laboratory tests were performed. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 45,099.
