There was a two car crash Tuesday morning along Steinbach's Main Street.

Assistant Fire Chief Russ Reimer explains they were called to the Barkman Avenue intersection shortly before 9:30. Reimer says he's not exactly sure what happened, noting when crews arrived on scene one of the vehicles was still sitting in the middle of the intersection, while the other car had already been moved off of the street. Both vehicles had front-end damage.

Reimer says both occupants involved in the crash were checked over by EMS at the scene and released.

Crews were able to keep eastbound Main Street open during cleanup, but Reimer says they had to divert westbound traffic momentarily.
