A group from Steinbach wants to make sure the legacy of A.D. Penner is never forgotten.
A horse park has been built across from city hall and this tribute will be officially unveiled to the public Saturday afternoon at 1:00. Grandson Paul Neustaedter who is president of Steinbach Dodge and one of the men responsible for the creation of this park says A.D. Penner moved to Steinbach in 1937. His many accomplishments include starting up the Dodge dealership, Penner Tire and Rubber as well as a construction company. Neustaedter says A.D. Penner was a big believer in Steinbach and had a lot of vision for the future of our city. He says the horse park reflects his love for recreation and especially his love for horses.
