Niverville’s Local Emergency Response Control Group met with Council on Tuesday to discuss the Town’s functions and services amid the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

During their meeting, the groups agreed on five alterations to current services.

Town Office will now close an hour earlier at 4 pm, however, it will maintain its opening time of 9 am, Monday through Friday.

Onsite and external meetings are now being minimized with virtual meetings replacing them as much as possible.

Council meetings will continue to take place through the month of April and residents are being welcomed to participate through email as an alternative to attending in person.

All Niverville Recreation programming has been cancelled until April 15th, with a review of the situation set for April 1st. Town Council says they will give an update at this time.

The Town’s curling rink and arena will also be closed and follow Niverville Recreations timeline for reassessment.

Additionally, residents are also asked to note that directives from the RCMP, Criminal Record Check applications and Traffic Accident Reports will not be processed in the Town.
