An intense thunderstorm brought significant rain to southeastern Manitoba early Wednesday morning.

Steinbach received 22 millimetres of rain with over half of that coming in a ten or 15-minute cloudburst around 4:30 a.m.

St. Pierre got 15 millimetres, Zhoda 20 millimetres and Marchand 17 millimetres.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms again in the late afternoon. The humidex, or combination of temperature and humidity, will make it feel like 39 degrees Wednesday afternoon.
