The Town of Ste Anne is adding three new parks to its infrastructure.

“We have one park in our new development at Seine River Crossing, one in the center of town at our splash park, and one proposed for the Langevin development,” informs Chief Administrative Officer Marc Darker.

The parks will be financed by funds extending from Manitoba Hydro’s Bipole III Community Development Initiative for having their project in the vicinity of the town.

“The total estimated cost was roughly $180,000 for all three parks combined,” explains Darker.

According to Darker, the playgrounds at Seine River Crossing and the splash park are on schedule to be completed this year, but that the one within the Langevin development is slated for sometime next year.

“Right now, we’re asking residents to hold off using them until construction is finished,” says Darker, “and then we’ll make an announcement on our website when that’s done.”

All three parks are being constructed by the Winnipeg company Playgrounds-R-Us.
