Thousands gathered in downtown Steinbach to celebrate the city's first Pride march.

Steinbach Pride organizers addressed the crowd gathered at City Hall acknowledging the peaceful and supportive atmosphere.

Marchers began their delayed, short trek to Steinbach's Civic Centre from a packed EA Friesen park. Due to overwhelming numbers, and waiting for more attendees stuck in traffic on Hwy 12, the festivities started later than planned. The rally at City Hall wrapped up around 1:30 P.M.

A large RCMP presence assisted with the march by closing down additional streets and directing traffic to accommodate the larger than expected crowd.
