Total offenses for the third-quarter of RCMP stats in the RM of La Broquerie have decreased from 132 in 2016 to 100 in 2017 between July 1 and September 30.

Offenses range from impaired driving to other traffic offenses, assaults, theft, drug enforcement, and break and enter.

Reeve Lewis Weiss says with the population on the rise, it's positive to see a decrease in overall offenses. He adds the ongoing conversations between the Steinbach RCMP Detachment and RM of La Broquerie are appreciated.

"That way he can share information with us, we can share concerns with him. That way they're aware of what some of our issues are. It's good to keep an open dialogue."

According to the Steinbach RCMP third-quarter stats, break and enters in the RM of La Broquerie decreased from 21 in 2016 to 6 in 2017, whereas mischief to property increased from 6 in 2016 to 12 in 2017.
