Steinbach RCMP have provided additional information on what happened last week Friday during the execution of a search warrant in the Rural Municipality of Hanover.

On Saturday, police informed the public that while searching the location for stolen property, Police Service Dog Mack was injured by another dog. Mack was taken to a veterinarian for non-life-threatening injuries, while the other dog was shot and died on scene.

ge of the person charged is a 41-year-old male, who was arrested and released for a November court appearance. He will be charged with five counts of possession of stolen property and one count of unsafe storage of a firearm.
