The Steinbach Minor Hockey Association is doing their part to support members of the Humboldt Broncos community as they continue to heal from last Friday’s tragedy.

Rob Wilcox who is a member of the board, says they are having vehicle and helmet decals made which will have the Steinbach Millers logo in green and yellow with Humboldt strong written on the bottom.

"Our intent is to raise some money to help out with the mental health needs of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey. We’re selling them for $5 a piece, we’ll have a table set up at the arena on Saturday afternoon from one till four, they will also be available at the House of Sabres at the SRSS and possibly at Stone Brook Strength."

Wilcox notes this tragedy has affected everybody across Canada and says the Steinbach Minor Hockey board felt they had an obligation to step up and help as best they can.

"100% of the proceeds from this endeavor are going towards the SJHL Player Assistance program and that provides mental health services to players and others affected by various situations like this. The Millers have quite a few players playing in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League so this affects local people as well as the Humboldt community."

Wilcox says a total of 400 decals will be made but adds they will gladly order more if the demand is there. He notes their goal is to make these available to anybody and everybody.
