Cheese boards from Steinbach have made their way to Hollywood.

Candace Cancade is co-owner of Lynn & Liana Serveware. Cancade says the family-owned business creates one of a kind cheese boards and serving trays accented with an eco-friendly epoxy. The Canadian maple hardwood comes from Quebec, while the eco-friendly epoxy is made in Manitoba.

(Candace Cancade and daughter Melissa show off their cheese board.)Last year, the company peaked the interest of Oprah Magazine. Representatives from O Magazine asked the Steinbach company for samples that would be considered for the Oprah's Favourite Things list of 2019. Their product did not quite make the final cut.

But, Cancade says through their appearance at tradeshows, they were connected with someone involved in the Golden Globe Awards. They were asked for samples and a donation of products to be used this weekend. Cheese boards made by Lynn & Liana Serveware will be featured in a red carpet luxury Hollywood gift suite.

"Really exciting for us to see that our product is going to be in front of all these stars when they are mingling before they are out on stage," says Cancade. "Very exciting."

According to Cancade, the resin and wood market is very popular in Australia and is now emerging in the North American market as well. She says their product is currently in about 130 stores across Canada and the United States and they are shipping out hundreds of items weekly.

Lynn & Liana Serveware, which operates with several employees has a shop on the east edge of Steinbach.
