As election day approaches, the reeve candidates in the RM of Ste. Anne have one last message they would like to get out to their voters.

Candidate Don Morin says they live in a great RM but he adds it needs work. “That’s normal for any RM so with a little bit of willingness and hard work and perseverance, we will make this RM a better place to live and come vote on October 24.”

Robert Desautels says he would very much like to be a team player and work with the rest of council as one big team.

“I feel that there is a lot of potential for this community and I also feel very in touch with this community and the people in it and I’d like to be able to move forward with them,” says Desautels.

Shirley Hiebert says she feels very qualified for the role of reeve. “I think that I am very skilled for the job given my background and my education and my many years of being in this municipality,” notes Hiebert who adds it’s now up to voters to determine who they think would be the best leader which direction they would like to see the municipality go in the next four years.

“I just hope that people vote for common sense rather than just the idea of changing for the fun of changing,” says candidate Paul Saindon, “I think it needs to be met with some serious approach of doing the right thing at the right time.”

Saindon adds he’s been a part of many projects over the past 12 years on council and hopes to see those projects come to fruition in the next term if elected as reeve.
