There was a stabbing Tuesday night in Landmark.

RCMP report they were notified just after 10:00 p.m. that a man had been stabbed. When officers arrived on the scene on Main Street, the victim had already been transported to hospital and the suspect was lying on the road.

Investigation has determined the female suspect was intoxicated and had asked for a ride from Winnipeg to Landmark. The 46-year-old male victim, who is from Winnipeg, told her he was heading that way and agreed to give her a ride. Police say when they arrived in Landmark, the suspect stabbed the victim in the upper body. They add the victim struggled with the suspect and the man was stabbed several more times but was able to remove the suspect from the vehicle. Officers say he has serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 30-year-old female from Winnipeg has been charged with aggravated assault.
