Residents of St. Malo are being advised to boil their water for the next couple of days.

The advisory comes as a result of having to turn off the town’s water plant on Friday.

“We had a water break,” explains Reeve Darrel Cure, “so, we had to call in a contractor to repair it.”

Cure estimates the water boiling advisory only needs to be adhered to for “a couple of days”. He explains that the advisory is mandatory anytime the plant is shut down for an amount of time.

“We are waiting on a clean go ahead,” says Cure, “which we should have today or tomorrow.”
