A snowfall warning has been issued for the southeast corner of Manitoba.

According to Environment Canada, a low-pressure system forming over the American Midwest will track northeast across the southeastern corner of the province bringing 10 to 15 centimetres of snow to the R.M. of Piney including the communities of Sandilands and Sprague. Forecasts are calling for snow to begin Wednesday morning and taper off Wednesday night.

In addition, Environment Canada says forecasts are calling for 5 to 10 centimetres of snow in the Whiteshell and eastern Red River Valley on Wednesday. Motorists are urged to drive carefully as visibility may be suddenly reduced with heavy snowfall.
