Six people were taken to hospital as a precaution following a three-vehicle collision at the corner of Blatz Road and Highway 52 shortly after 1:30 Friday afternoon.

That according to Kleefeld District Fire Chief John Schroeder. He notes a westbound vehicle was pushed into oncoming traffic.

“We had a three-vehicle accident here. A westbound vehicle was going to make a left turn onto Road 29e when it got rear-ended, it was obviously waiting for traffic to clear from the front, so the eastbound vehicle collided with the turning vehicle.”

Schroeder says no extrication was required. He adds traffic on Highway 52 was diverted around the collision for about an hour while fire crews cleaned up debris, leaking anti-freeze, and the three vehicles.
