Steinbach RCMP made a number of arrests in Mitchell Monday at a residence along Centre Street, just north of Highway #52.

Officers along with police dog Enzo went to the home just after 5:00 p.m. to execute a search warrant. They seized items including construction tools and accessories as well as a prohibited weapon and ammunition. Six people were taken into custody.

46-year-old Edward Gallie of Steinbach was charged with possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon and other offences. The others were released without charge. Gallie has been remanded for a court appearance in Winnipeg.
