Both Springfield fire crews responded to a shop fire late last night.

Anola Fire Chief Garth Cook says the building, approximately five kilometres south of Anola, was declared a total loss.

“They haven’t put a dollar amount on it yet, but you’re looking at about a $100,000 loss,” estimates Cook.

According to the Fire Chief, his crew arrived on the scene around 11:00 pm and fought the flames until 4:30 am.

Cook says the cause remains under investigation.
