Steinbach maintenance crews would like residents to be aware they are trimming trees all around the city.

Head of Parks and Recreation, Russ Dyck, notes the pruning of trees is a typical project that will be happening throughout different neighborhoods for the majority of the summer. He reminds drivers to slow down if they see city crews working, to secure a safe working zone for his for his employees.

This routine maintenance is done yearly to ensure street sweepers, large vehicles, and snow plows, later this year, will have full access to all roads and sidewalks. He indicates that any piles of trees or branches left behind by the crews’ pruning will be cleaned up in very short order.
