A popular piece on infrastructure is being missed in Blumenort.

The public play structure had to be dismantled after an inspector deemed it was not safe.

“The cost of repairing it, and bringing it up to CSA standards, and something that would be appropriate for the community was not feasible,” informs Hanover Recreation Manager Jason Peters.

Peters says there is a plan to replace it, however.

“We did hear quite a bit of response,” admits Jason Peters who says a fundraising committee has already raised most of the money needed to have another one built.

“We’re hoping to have a solution for that either a little bit later this fall or first thing next spring.”
