Korean War veteran Arv Gatten says it's amazing to see so many people from the community come out to these ceremonies year after year.
"I really feel that it's important for everyone to actually get out and show their appreciation for what has been done by their relatives, their friends and people who have given their lives and showed up for duty in the services. I think it's very wonderful and it's very earth-shaking for me just to see the appreciation that people have."
Steinbach's Remembrance Day service was held this morning at the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church.
