Reeve for the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie says he feels concerns were not taken into consideration during consultations.

The two route options from consultations in February.
Lewis Weiss is referring to the announcement of the preferred Manitoba-Minnesota Transmission Line made by Manitoba Hydro.

"It was quite disappointing to hear," notes Weiss. "Some people said they weren't surprised. I guess they were just wasting everyone's time by getting input for a different route. The 207 route was the one that everybody else wanted and it wouldn't bother anybody. So it's very disappointing and there will be a lot of upset residents if this does happen."

Weiss adds he believes under Conservative Provincial Government the outcome of the preferred transmission line would be different. He notes since they are being given another chance to voice concerns with the Environmental Impact Statement being filed, residents shouldn't give up.
