Oakbank RCMP are looking for the public’s assistance in locating two individuals who are wanted for failing to comply with their court order and for Obstruction of Justice after being charged with multiple counts of Fraud.

Since April 2018, Oakbank RCMP say they have received more than 200 complaints of stolen mail from the RM of Springfield and the surrounding area. RCMP say their investigation led to two individuals who had been forging their names onto cheques stolen from mailboxes and then cashing those cheques.

29-year-old female Brady Laverdure and 44-year-old male Ryan Fortescue were arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Uttering Forged Documents, and nine counts of Fraud under $5,000.

RCMP say the two were released with conditions and are now once again being sought by police for failing to comply with court order.
