“This is something that I had seen through CDEM,” shares Tache Councillor Armand Poirier, “so what I did was, I basically nominated him.”

The councillor expresses his delight in CDEM’s decision and says he hopes it reveals that hard work produces positive results.

The award comes with a $250 prize which Cochrane’s mother says he is already calculating into popsicle inventory.

Cochrane says he intends on running his business for a few years and offers his incentive why; “being able to have responsibilities for something and to actually be flexible with my work-time, like, I can go out whenever I need or want, and go really where I want on my bike.”
