There was a large police presence Wednesday evening on Provincial Road 206, between Highway #52 and Provincial Road 311.

RCMP say they were notified about an incident on Highway #12, north of Steinbach, shortly after 7:00 p.m., where a male had allegedly flashed a handgun through the sunroof of a vehicle at the driver of another vehicle. Less than ten minutes later, officers spotted the suspect vehicle driving south on PR 206, about two miles north of Randolph. They proceeded with a high risk take down.

Two males, ages 18 and 20, from the RM of Tache, were arrested. Police determined the handgun was an airsoft pistol. The 20-year-old male is facing weapons-related charges. Both were later released from custody.
