The Tache Fire Department attended a single vehicle collision involving a school bus on Highway 207 shortly before 9:30 Saturday morning.

Tache Fire Chief Allan Rau says the incident occurred just west of Dufresne near Highway 1.

“It was a school bus carrying 17 people on board and due to the icy conditions this morning, as they were braking for a stop sign the rear end slid and struck a light standard, the right rear end.”

Rau says a couple of kids got banged up inside the bus, but nobody was transported to hospital. He notes paramedics were on scene and they checked everyone who was on board the bus. He adds there was only minimal damage to the bus.
