With continued COVID-19 precautions in place, Niverville’s town staff is finding creative ways to augment services.

“We’re taking a list of volunteers at the office,” shares Mayor Myron Dyck, “that might be available to do errands for people that can’t.”

The Mayor says the Town has already received a dozen emails from residents offering their assistance.

Additionally, their Recreation Department Staff is planning alternative programming for kids that can no longer attend Spring Break camps.

“We’re looking now to see what kind of respite we might be able to give parents by seeing what we can provide as far as something streamed into their homes.”

The type of programming available is still unknown, however, the Town's Recreation Staff is working hard to complete the alternative programming prior to Spring Break.

“This is part of who we are as a community,” concludes the Mayor, “if people need to be looked after, then let’s see what we can do to look after them.”
