For those in Niverville with body ink needs, help is on the way.

A tattoo parlour was granted an operational business license at Town Council on Tuesday.

Owner of Twenty Twenty Tattoo Studio, says he has been tattooing for 13 years and rewrites his body modification technician license every three years.

“About 10 years ago Council set out on a road with a very strong focus on ensuring we were open for business,” says Mayor Myron Dyck, “so to see businesses opening every year, that’s been very purposeful for us.”

The application drew over a dozen residents out to agree with the owner’s proposal. Though Council is happy to see such community involvement, they maintained their desire to divest themselves of public pressures and carefully review the facts.

“It is up to Council to look at things presented aside from simply physical response,”shares Dyck, “but to look at the facts and information.”

The shop will be located at 226 Main Street, within the same building as Anya's Hair Studio.
