Some residents of Niverville are being asked to conserve water.

Due to unscheduled maintenance at the Niverville Water Treatment Plant, the town is asking residents who receive their water from the Spruce Drive Water Treatment Plant to limit the watering of their yards.

Those with an even numbered civic address may water on even numbered days, while those with an odd numbered civic address may water their lawn on odd numbered days.

According to the town, if this policy is followed, it is anticipated they will return to normal operating levels within a few days.

The water treatment plant at the corner of 5th Avenue and Spruce Drive became operational in summer of 2008. This utility currently serves properties in Fifth Avenue Estates, Highlands, Prairie Crossings, as well as a number of new buildings within the core area of town.
