The new hotel coming to Niverville is expected to bring significant economic benefits to the town.

Mayor Myron Dyck says he was thrilled when the project was officially announced earlier this week and says it follows a chain of forward-thinking breakthroughs in his community’s recent history. First, he says, came the Niverville Heritage Centre driving population growth and senior care. Then came the nearly-completed Community Resource and Recreation Centre, a sporting multiplex already attracting events as big as the Manitoba Winter Games. Finally, he notes, the incoming Blue Crescent Hotel represents a push for tourism that his town has not yet seen.

The whole build, he says, is indicative of a healthy and growing community.

Construction on the hotel is expected to begin this summer. The company behind the project, Steel Creek Developers, hopes to have it completed by late February of 2022.
