Niverville’s mayor reminisced on a year filled with challenges as well as some successes.

“I signed up for politics to be able to do things for people and to provide things for people,” says Myron Dyck, “and then when you’re having to close things and tell people what they can’t do instead of what they can do, well, I don’t think that’s what any of us signed up for.”

his pride for how they pulled through, adapting to the many changes that were thrust on them before admitting his own struggles.

“I consider myself to be, and others will argue, mentally, and emotionally stable, but I’ve found that this has been, probably, the greatest challenge for me.”

The mayor also indicates his appreciation for the developers who decided to build within the community and the response by residents.

“To see people purchasing various homes, condos, multi-family homes, and things like that, always is encouraging.”
